The Ark |

On the way to The Ark we stopped for lunch at the Aberdare
Country Club. |

The Ark is a very cool hotel in the middle of the Aberdare
Mountains. It was the first place we saw wild beasties. The Ark was
built next to a watering hole and salt lick, so the animals come to
you. Buzzers go off in your room all night to alert you that animals
have arrived. We saw 4 elephants, a herd of 46 cape buffalo, some
hyenas, bushbuck, a black rhino and lots of very noisy birds. |

We left The Ark and crossed the Equator on our way to
Samburu. At the Equator we witnessed an experiment showing water running
counterclockwise above the Equator and clockwise below it. Here we
are with our certificate for passing the class. |
