Always room for one more. Matatau - the public transportation system for
Kenya. Once its filled up inside, people hold on for their lives on
the top and sides
Kenyan currency - shillings. When we arrived a dollar was worth 65 shillings,
by end of trip it was almost 75 shillings. I never got used to using
this stuff.
At The Daphne Sheldrick Animal Orphanage we got to play with three baby
elephants. The youngest one shown here is only two months old. We also
saw two black rhinos and a large family of warthogs.
These are from the home of Karen Blixen, author of "Out of
Africa." I hated the book so I skipped the tour, then I got yelled
at for taking pictures and quickly left. At least I got to see where
she took a dump.
